Location: East York, ON
Rate of pay: $21.00/hr
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
Duration: 1-year full-time contract
Hours: Standard hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday but some overtime and atypical shifts required, including overnights.
Work Setting: private home
Languages: English essential
Requirements: Some secondary school. 1 year or more of relevant experience in caregiving, cooking and household management. Driver’s licence.
Duties: Perform caregiving tasks including; bathing, dressing, overseeing and assisting with therapy programs at home, administering medicine and supplements, companionship and emotional support, coordinating and booking therapy sessions and attending therapy sessions, provide transportation and support for community activities and sports, oversee prescription refills and attend medical appointments. Prepare meals from scratch and assist with feeding. Routine housekeeping duties including food and supplement shopping, errands, laundering, sewing, dusting. Maintain a clean, sanitary and presentable home environment.
