Job Description
Our assistant project managers support all aspects of the project lifecycle.
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and documentation
Support coordination between contractors, consultants, and internal teams
Monitor project progress and help identify potential risks or delays
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
Maintain organized project files and ensure timely reporting
Participate in site visits and inspections as needed
Communicate updates to stakeholders and assist with client presentations
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards
Key Qualifications
Our non-negotiables in a potential candidate are:
Engineering degree, Construction Engineering Technology diploma, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Willingness to pursue the CAPM designation within one year of employment
Honesty, integrity, and transparency are at the core of your work
Proactive in resolving issues before they become apparent to others
Strong planning and leadership skills
Ability to independently manage time, prioritize, and meet aggressive deadlines with limited oversight
Excellent communication skills, with a track record for resolving conflicts and fostering collaboration
Strong oral and written communication, integration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team-building abilities
Strong MS Office skills
Valid driver’s license
Our ideal candidate will also have:
Good attention to detail and ensures accuracy in reporting and documentation
Prioritizes tasks effectively under tight deadlines
Responds well to changing priorities and scope adjustments
Shows up prepared, follows through, and earns trust
Working Conditions
Approximately 85% home office, 15% field
Visits to construction sites (exposure to standard industry hazards)
