We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in the execution of daily restaurant operations. This role focuses on operational leadership during shifts, supervising staff, and ensuring procedures, service standards, and food safety requirements are consistently followed. The Assistant Manager acts as the second-in-command on shift and provides direct support to both team members and supervisors.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising shifts, coordinating staff assignments, ensuring adequate coverage, and addressing operational issues as they arise. They assist with staff training, coaching, and development, provide feedback on performance, and support attendance and scheduling requirements. The Assistant Manager helps monitor labour usage, food quality, cleanliness, and service speed, and escalates issues to the Restaurant Manager when necessary. They may assist with inventory counts, ordering, and reporting but do not have final authority over hiring, termination, or disciplinary decisions. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership presence on the floor, and flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Completion / Certification in Food Safety (Serve Safe) & First Aid.
Successful candidate must be available to work a rotating schedule that runs opposite to the Store Manager and be reliable.
