Responsibilities
Tasks
Observe gauges, meters, computer printouts, video monitors and products to ensure correct operation of machinery
Operate and adjust equipment that grinds, filters, mixes or processes minerals.
Set up, prepare and adjust processing machinery
Verify processing conditions and work area
Operate single-function machinery to process mineral ores
Record production information and complete reports
Make adjustments to machinery
Pour molten metal into moulds to produce metal castings
Set up and operate casting machines to cast ferrous or non ferrous metal products
Set up, adjust and operate various casting machines
Follow emergency and safety procedures
