Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Administrative Officer to manage day-to-day office operations and provide essential support to management and staff. This role ensures smooth workflow, effective communication, and a professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate daily office administrative operations to ensure efficient and compliant workflows.
• Provide administrative and operational support to senior management, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential records, files, and organizational documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external communications and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders.
• Support financial and HR administrative processes, including invoicing, reporting, onboarding, and record management.
• Assist with planning, reporting, audits, and special projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, providing a strong foundation in office operations, financial processes, and organizational management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative, office support, or client-facing roles, or corporate environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing records, preparing reports, and coordinating office operations.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with management, colleagues, and clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and general office software tools.
• Experience in supervisory or team coordination roles is an asset.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and handle tasks with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Track service history and maintain accurate logs and inventory
• Order parts and manage repair schedules
• Assist with transportation equipment and seasonal readiness
• Collaborate with the WGC team and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a culture of workplace safety
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic (automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment)
• Red seal or equivalent trade certification
• Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program in mechanics, automotives or related field
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to remote community settings
• Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs. and working outdoors in variable conditions
Preferred Assets
• Red Seal or equivalent trade certification
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience with marine or small engine systems
• Work experience in remote or Indigenous communities
