UBC’s Commitment to Indigenous Peoples
UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam people and the Syilx Okanagan Nation. The university recognizes their ongoing relationship with the land and works to build respectful, reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities.
UBC’s work is guided by its Indigenous Strategic Plan:
https://isp.ubc.ca/

Key priorities include:
Respecting Indigenous rights and self-determination
Increasing Indigenous representation among faculty and staff
