PAINTER Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Painter specialized in residential and commercial renovations. The candidate will be responsible for surface preparation (drywall repair, plastering, sanding, caulking, and priming) as well as the application of latex, acrylic, oil-based, epoxy, and fire-resistant or antimicrobial coatings.

Tasks include the use of airless sprayers, rollers, and detailed brush techniques, along with mixing and matching paint for customized finishes. The position also involves installing protective coverings, working at heights with ladders and scaffolding, reading technical drawings, and coordinating with other trades on multi-stage projects.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year proven experience in painting within construction/renovation projects.
• Knowledge of substrate preparation (wood, concrete, metal, drywall).
• Familiarity with safety standards (WHMIS, WSIB, fall protection).
• Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and physical stamina.
• Valid G2 driver’s license (minimum), required to travel between job sites
Tasks
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and finishes.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
• Ensure proper application techniques to achieve smooth and even coverage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of materials.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safetyprotocols.
• Conduct touch-ups and repairs as necessary to maintain quality standards.
