Company Description:
Wescon Doors, also known as Wescon Cedar Products, is a family-owned-and-operated door
manufacturer located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, boasting a production area of over
50,000ft2. Our customer range is worldwide, spanning Canadian, American, and Asian markets.
We are looking to hire an individual to work in our window department assembling wooden windows.
Experience in this field is not required, but ideally you will have some experience with power tools
and/or woodwork and/or windows and glazing. Job duties include assembling windows and doors,
gluing them together, and checking the parts for quality. You may also be tasked with helping paint or
stain windows, installing hardware, and glazing. Training is provided onsite
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble wood products such as window sashes, boxes, pallets
• Assemble windows, glue them together, and check the parts for quality
• Use various tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, sanders, nail guns, and clamps
• May help paint or stain windows, install hardware, and glazing
• Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces
• Inspect finished window units to verify quality standards and identify any defects or
imperfections
• Mark defective products for repair
• Make minor adjustments and repairs to ensure that windows meet quality and safety
requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Position Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in in window manufacturing or
assembly
• Ability to operate woodworking machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
