Join the Client Solutions Team under the new Vice-President of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, where CMHC advocates and promotes Indigenous Relations and corporate reconciliation framework. In this role, you will lead special initiatives, relationships with internal and external stakeholders, conceptualization and development of information, analysis and recommendations to ensure that client needs are met throughout the process.
• Lead special initiatives and projects to support reconciliation actions throughout the corporation.
• Provide expert and comprehensive advice, guidance and recommendations and obtain input from internal and external stakeholders and clients on issues and opportunities related to policies, products, services and/or systems.
• Manage external relationships with Indigenous peoples including National associations and with other levels of government.
• Conduct research and continuously scan the internal and external environment to identify strategic linkages and anticipate emerging policy issues, innovative products and methods, and assess the applicability to CMHC, government and/or industry in a leadership capacity.
• Develop a variety of documentation, presentations and briefing in support of internal and external communications.
• Represent CMHC and, where required, organize or lead meetings, committees, task force / working groups and consultative bodies to communicate or obtain input on strategic objectives and priorities.
• Completed post-secondary education in social science, Indigenous studies, business administration or related discipline or equivalent working experience
• Minimum of five years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated analytical, creative and conceptual skills to effectively contribute to business objectives and strategic direction.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles to communicate messages and positions.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects
• Knowledge of Indigenous peoples and culture, Reconciliation and Indigenous housing matters.
• Ability to negotiate and influence corporate change
