Join the Corporate Services sector where our partners view CMHC as the catalyst for solving housing affordability challenges. This critical client facing position supports the Leasing Manager on lease negotiation, administration, strategy, leasing projects and other real estate functions and key projects as they relate to leasable spaces on Granville Island. The Senior Lease Administrator helps evaluate and facilitate new tenant selection application processes. You will conduct research and provide recommendations for lease rates, improvements to leasing practices, and policies/procedures. This role provides guidance to other members of staff on lease interpretation, and works closely with local and national office finance, operations, legal, and insurance teams to verify and communicate contractual lease responsibilities as well as keeping Provincial and Municipal governing bodies informed for the purpose of land and property tax value assessment.

Responsibilities:
Â
Lease Administration;
Lead the preparation, drafting and timely execution of lease agreements and related documents for existing and prospective tenant leased spaces (250+ tenancies) in buildings and surrounding water lots.
Work with the Leasing Manager on the creation and execution of leasing strategies & guidelines.
Work closely with the Leasing Manager in regards to all leasing document needs and critical lease expiration by preparing, maintaining, tracking and giving updates through weekly meetings and email communication.
Strategic Business Partnering;
Proactively communicate with internal departments regarding all leasing matters.
Ensure strong tenant relationships.
Build collaborative work environment across departments to ensure that all considerations are included in leasing (negotiations, renewals, implementation).
Track and report on the regional and national targets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Â
Undergraduate degree in business administration or finance.
Three years of experience working in real estate financing, banking, or in a non-profit industry related to affordable housing. (International is recognized)
Experience creating or delivering presentations.
Experience developing existing and new relationships with constructions developers.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Â
Bilingualism (French and English).
Solid understanding of the Canadian housing market industry (construction, rental, multi-unit development).
