POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Reconciliation Program Manager provides leadership to advance CBABC’s Reconciliation Action Plan, liaising with various CBABC volunteer groups and staff, national CBA counterparts, and external organizations as necessary
This part-time position will average 10 hours per week with peak periods from January to May and August to November.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide and coordinate the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and best practices aimed at advancing CBABC’s strategic Reconciliation goals.
Provide staff support for the Truth & Reconciliation Committee including preparing agendas, minutes and workplans and providing information.
Provide staff support for the Aboriginal Lawyers Forum, acting as a conduit to other staff for their annual programs and initiatives.
Identify and secure speakers for the annual Advancing Reconciliation Series, a multi-part education initiative.
Evaluate program effectiveness by conducting surveys and collecting, tracking and reporting on performance measures; implement recommended changes to improve outcomes.
Report on Reconciliation Action Plan progress through regular updates to Board and Senior Management, as well as preparing content for CBABC’s Annual Report.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year college or university degree or equivalent.
Sound knowledge of First Nations, Métis and Inuit cultures, history, governance and relationships, particularly within British Columbia.
Five or more years of program management experience managing/administrating agency-wide advancement of Reconciliation initiatives.
Experience in adult education programs is an asset
Experience in a non-profit organization is an asset.
Track record of building effective partnerships, influencing internal and external stakeholders, and driving change.
Energetic leadership style, impeccable judgment, and exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Excellent presentation and communications skills (both written and verbal).
A self-starter with superior organization and time management skills.
SALARY RANGE: $55-65 per hour
