Apprentice Powersports Mechanic
This is a rare opportunity to grow through a multi line dealership. We are looking for someone who has the willingness and ability grow into powersports with the focus on becoming a journeyman technician. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field and work on a wide variety of products from ATVs, PWC, side by sides, motorcycles and snowmobiles. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about power sports mechanics and are looking to gain hands-on experience. Responsibilities:
– Assist senior mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
– Uncrate and PDI powersports products
– Diagnose and learn computer related diagnostic equipment
– Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
– Assist in disassembling and reassembling vehicle components
– Clean and maintain work area and tools
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines
– Inspect and test engine and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults
– Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Basic knowledge of power sports systems and components
– Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
– Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
– Good communication skills
– Valid driver’s license
– Minimum of 1-year work experience
