The Master Scheduler is accountable for ensuring, at a corporate level, an even and balanced workload for the production facilities in accordance with customer requests, capacity and material availability, in a timely manner.
Specific Accountabilities
Run capacity schedule daily.
Schedule all orders according to the work dispatch agreed with the team. Acknowledge ship dates on all orders.
Manage order previews to help for successful results on major projects.
Do the maintenance of the scheduling tools for the best possible accuracy.
Work with all manufacturing facilities to monitor capacity and supply chain constraints. Work to continuously improve visibility on the supply chain.
Manage to keep realistic schedules. Keep control of delays to customers caused by overloading or scheduling errors while still targeting to meet customer’s expectations as much as possible
Manage to schedule orders in accordance with the logistics constraints such as the regional shipping schedule (lane day schedule).
Work with production planners and the master scheduling team mates to determine capacity for each location.
Match delivery request of customer with lead time of PRP vendors and TFS Manufacturing plants and raw material suppliers and fabric mills.
Release order in Baan system enabling PRP/MRP purchasers to place orders with vendors.
Work closely with the customer service team to manage priorities.
Search and communicate forecast information to encourage proactive actions through the supply chain. Use Salesforce as a source of information.
Participate on improvement projects with the other schedulers.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
University/college degree or appropriate experience
Strong communication and analytical skills
Working knowledge of and ERP system such as BAAN
Experience in a manufacturing environment using a PRP/MRP process
Strong PC application skills (eg. Word, Excel)
