About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, results-driven individual to coordinate marketing activities and support business development at Purppl. In this role, you’ll help execute digital marketing campaigns and events, refine and maintain business development systems, and foster meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and others in the social impact ecosystem.
Your ability to craft compelling narratives that drive action and build connections will be key to your success in this role. You’ll clearly convey what Purppl does, how we work, the tools and approaches we use, and the impact we contribute to motivating those who need what we offer to engage and act.
You’ll report to the Communications and Storytelling role and work closely with the Community Engagement role to align our efforts with our vision, values, target audiences, and revenue goals—deepening our impact through every interaction and touchpoint.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities are shaped by the intended outcomes in Purppl’s Theory of Change.
Marketing & Business Development
Implement marketing strategies which nurture contacts towards marketing qualified leads, including targetted campaigns, email marketing, landing pages, social media outreach, and events, such as workshops, AMAs, and gatherings.
Build, maintain and implement a content calendar and project management tool.
Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, track leads and identify marketing qualified leads, using dashboards and analytics tools to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
Maintain and update website content, ensuring SEO optimization and alignment with marketing and strategic goals.
Set up and manage paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and other opportunities, to boost visibility and lead generation.
Support outbound sales efforts by researching and building lists of potential clients based on ideal customer profiles, and crafting/refining outbound email content.
Develop and refine detailed audience profiles.
Develop and maintain repeatable templates for marketing assets, sales proposals, and outreach campaigns to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
Respond to inbound inquiries and triage leads for business development opportunities.
Research and maintain a list of relevant industry events and conferences, identifying opportunities for participation and engagement.
Content Creation
Develop and maintain consistent, branded marketing assets and templates optimized for specific channels, ensuring they are reusable and refined based on performance and feedback.
Oversee the production, editing, and repurposing of content across multiple channels, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with brand guidelines.
Generate concepts and visuals to enhance marketing and business development efforts, contributing to a library of content for future campaigns.
Design and refine templates and materials for client reports, presentations, and projects, providing ad-hoc support as needed.
Project Coordination
Coordinate marketing and business development projects from planning to execution, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with scope and deadlines.
Track project timelines and deliverables, regularly updating team members on progress and addressing any changes proactively.
Plan, promote, and manage logistics for events such as workshops, AMAs, and gatherings.
Oversee memberships and sponsorships, leveraging benefits opportunities to maximize value.
Experience
We recognize the value of both paid and unpaid work. For this role, we are seeking someone with the following experience:
2-5 years of experience in marketing, business development, sales, customer service, communications, design, or related fields.
Excellent storytelling skills, both written and visual, with experience creating audience-centered content attuned to current trends.
Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms, particularly HubSpot, Canva, LinkedIn for Business, and Meta Business Suite, with diverse experience in automation workflows, reporting, and integrations.
Experience coordinating digital marketing campaigns, with the ability to refine strategies using data analysis and tools like Google Analytics.
Experience planning and promoting events, both digital and in-person, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Experience with SEO and paid advertising, including Google Ads.
Comfortable with various software, including Google Workspace and WordPress, for campaign and content management.
Interest in social and environmental issues, with some understanding of the social impact or nonprofit sector.
