Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to join our team at the Fort McMurray, location. The ideal candidate will install, inspect, and maintain fire suppression systems on off-road mining and forestry equipment, such as dozers, graders, haul trucks, shovels, etc.
Duties: Provide fire protection system service including but not limited to:
· Preventative Maintenance of off-road Fire Suppression Systems
· Repairs, Installs, Troubleshooting, Recharges of off-road Fire Suppression Systems
· Discharge investigations
. Submit records of the work performed: Duly filled PM Check Sheet, work report and LEMs
· Assist lead hand in discharge investigations
· Duly fill time sheets and passover Notes at the end of each shift.
Requirements:
· Mechanical aptitude is must.
· Must be well-versed with hand tools.
· Electrical troubleshooting an asset
· Physically able to climb, carry and lift 40 lb.
. Physically and mentally capable of performing all duties in a safe and professional manner
· Driver licence with clean driver abstract
These positions require drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
