Job Description and Responsibilities:
• A Line Cook’s accountabilities could include:
• Cooking of food items in each of the following stations: appetizer, sauté, plates and grill
• Preparation of food items including sauces, salads, garnishes, appetizers, proteins and starches
• Plate presentation in all areas: salads, appetizers, sides, entrees, and desserts
• Positive communication and the ability to demonstrate positive qualities in a highly stressful team environment
• Setup, takedown, and continued cleanliness of the kitchen line in all areas
• Following established procedures and standards for cooking with deep fryers, ovens, sauté stations, and grills
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• 1-2 years cooking experience or completion of college or other programs in cooking
• Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain before the employment start date
Your Skills
• Ability to safely operate standard foodservice equipment
• Must have multitasking skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be capable of taking direction well
