About the role
Join the Data Acquisition Team in the Bilingual Specialist, Data Acquisition and Processing position. In this role, you will be responsible for operationalizing robust data initiatives and quality frameworks that ensures integrity and reliability of data across the organization. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the integration of property related data sets with a focus on improving the data governance associated with these data sets. This includes the development and execution of data quality monitoring reports to assess and enhance data integrity from various providers.
What you’ll do:
Assist in developing data strategies and data project roadmaps that are aligned with corporate strategy and business need to increase business value.
Conduct market scans, and identify and evaluate potential data sources, enhancing the organization’s data landscape.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and acquire appropriate data to meet those needs.
Ensure data procurement policies are followed when acquiring data.
Monitor compliance with data quality standards and protocols to provide recommendations to improve data quality.
Develop and manage data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow from various sources.
Monitor and optimize new or existing data workflows to improve performance and maintain data accuracy.
Provide guidance to stakeholders on using data value framework in assessing initiatives and setting KPIs and targets.
What you should have:
An undergraduate degree from a recognized university in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or another related field.
A minimum of 5 years experience in collecting user requirements, acquiring data, developing integrated datasets/databases, and enacting established data governance frameworks.
A good understanding of data structures used for storing and retrieving information.
Experience with SAS, Python and R to design and implement complex data pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources.
A good understanding of data governance frameworks and information management protocols.
A demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous analysis using critical thinking and judgment to resolve complex issues.
A demonstrated ability to synthesis complex problems and present clear solutions to management.
A proven ability to think strategically, and develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
Bilingualism (English, French).
