The Barge Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of Seaspan Marine and Marine Petrobulk barge operators, barge fleets, and their safe, efficient cargo operations. This position provides shoreside support for our barge operators, logistics, commercial, operations, and maintenance teams. Key activities include ensuring operator certification, regulatory compliance, company policies and procedures are up to date. Auditing and evaluating operator performance, scheduling operators, and managing time records. The role also assists in developing/reviewing cargo load and discharge plans, conducting ongoing and annual audits (both external and internal), continuous proficiency training of barge operators, and training of new operators.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 10 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

The estimated salary for this position is $100,169 – $120,203. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
