Tasty Tandoori Grill Restaurant in Vanderhoof BC need one Indian Specialized Cook (Curry & Tandoori Cook) immediately on a permanent full time basis for the restaurant. Applicant must have at least 1 year of related experience in cooking.
Duties include collect all the ingredients, which require preparing all kinds of main courses and sweets. Plan menus, ensure qualify of food and determine size of food proportions. Successful Applicant must be able to prepare and have enough knowledge of making all sort of Indian festive sweets and able to attend to specialty caterings for all special occasions, supervise, manage and train kitchen staff in the art of sweet making and Indian specialize food. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Manage kitchen operations. Curry cook should be able to make Indian curry dishes like butter chicken, shahi paneer, malai kofta, alloo gobhi, dal makhni, cholle bhature etc and the Tandoori Cook should be able to make tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, paneer tikka, naan, tandoori roti etc. Applicant must be willing to work on weekends and in rotation, available on call and willing to work overtime. Knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi language will be an asset.
