Join the Investment and Pension Fund Team where we work to support CMHC’s goals for financial stability and housing affordability. We are looking for a Senior Specialist with experience in equity research. As an integral part of the public market investment team, you will provide substantive analytical expertise in the management of a wide range of investments. More specifically, you will support the management and administration of the internally managed Canadian equity portfolio of CMHC Pension Fund by recommending and executing investments that are expected to consistently outperform market benchmarks and indices. You will be accountable for providing support and assistance critical to achieving maximum returns in accordance with established policies and objectives. The role will also involve executing transactions for CMHC’s portfolios. Responsibilities: Â
Â
Participate in the overall management of the portfolios.Â
Conduct equity research to maximize returns within the constraints established by investment objectives, investment strategies and policies.Â
Coordinate, review and report on the asset management activities.Â
Execute investment transactions ensuring best execution and resolve settlement issues that may occur.Â
Participate in the development and implementation of the tactical asset allocation decisions through the application of research and analysis. Â
Liaise with company management, and the broader investment community to stay informed on developing trends, new strategies and products.Â

Minimum Qualifications:Â
Â
Undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field. Â
Minimum of seven years of relevant experience.Â
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.Â
Strong knowledge in equity research and financial analysis. Â
Understanding of capital markets and macroeconomics in an investment context.Â
Experience with Bloomberg or other similar platforms.Â
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship.Â
Strong project management and organization skills to oversee and carry out a wide variety of complex investment-related projects.Â

Preferred Qualifications:Â
Â
Experience in trading.Â
General knowledge of other asset classes including fixed income and money markets.Â
Relevant designation such as Chartered Financial Analyst and/or CPA.Â
