We are looking to add outgoing and responsible candidates for our sales floor in multiple departments to join our growing team, and to help build our locally owned and operated business.
The right candidate(s) would be a hard-working individual(s) who enjoys teamwork, provides excellent customer service, has a Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers and willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.
Experience: 7 months to 1 year
Full time position offering 35 – 40 hrs/wk.
Job duties would include but are not limited to:
• Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase
• Advise customers on use and care of merchandise, and provide advice concerning specialized products or services
• Estimate or quote prices, warranties and delivery dates
• Prepare merchandise for purchase
• Assist in display of merchandise
• Maintain sales records for inventory control
• Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
• May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
• Follow procedures and maintain standards according to store policy in the following areas: loss prevention, receiving and pricing goods, merchandise handling and presentation, housekeeping, reordering merchandise, restocking shelves and handling cash.
• Change prices on merchandise, bins, displays, etc. as necessary.
• Determine customer’s needs by asking open-ended questions.
• Build special displays and signage for sales, promotions and other special events.
• Work on special projects as assigned by department manager.
