Records Assistant
Full time summer position (April 28, 2025 to August 29, 2025)
Work location: RVCA headquarters, 3889 Rideau Valley Drive, Manotick, ON
There is no direct public transportation to the worksite; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation prior to applying.
About the RVCA:
RVCA is one of 36 conservation authorities in Ontario responsible for furthering the “conservation, restoration, development and management of natural resources in the watershed” under the Conservation Authorities Act. We are dedicated to protecting people and property from natural hazards like flooding and erosion, while conserving the wetlands, forests and natural areas that reduce their impacts.
About the Job
You will be responsible for:
• Archiving planning records using proper filing and indexing procedures.
• Assisting with records management procedures (from file creation, processing, to filing archived records).
• Providing quality control by reviewing indexing processes throughout and completing a final review of digitized records before files are destroyed or moved for storage.
Who you are
As the preferred candidate you:
• Are a post-secondary student or recent graduate in administration, planning, geography, environmental science or related program.
• Have Excellent communication skills in English,
• Have strong keyboarding skills and knowledge of MS-Word and Excel are essential.
• Have prior records management experience and knowledge of the On-Base system, considered as assets.
What we offer
• Full time hours (35 hours per week) from the beginning of April to the end of August
• Hourly rate of $17.70
• Option to join the OMERS pension plan
