The Company’s properties and projects span British Columbia, Alberta, and the Western United States. As we continue to expand and innovate, we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Completing purchase orders, maintaining inventory and purchase records for our various group of companies, especially but not limited to construction materials and tools and equipment
• Communicate and schedule with suppliers
• Data Entry in ERP system (Sage)
• Clerical, filing, scanning, matching back-up and related tasks as assigned
• Sourcing suppliers and new vendors
• Keep up business relationships with existing vendors
• Communicate with various job sites
• Supporting Purchasing Manager in dealing all aspects of the procurement function
• Help meet the purchasing needs for our various projects on a timely basis
• Train and supervise junior purchasing assistants
Requirements and Qualifications:
• 1+ year experience as a purchasing clerk or administrative clerk
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma/certificate in supply chain management or related field is an asset
• Detail-oriented, with proficiency in using data entry and accounting software
• Sage experience is an asset
• Excellent time management skills, sense of organization and ability to set priorities
Job Type:
• Full-time, in-person at our Delta, BC head office
Salary:
• $52,000 annually
