As we continue to grow, we are seeking motivated and reliable General Laborers to join our dynamic workforce.
Position Summary: As a General Laborer in our meat production facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to meat processing, packaging, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. This position is essential to our commitment to producing top-notch cooked and cured meat products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meat Processing: Assist in the processing of meat products, which may include cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning.
• Packaging: Safely and accurately package meat products according to company standards.
• Quality Control: Monitor product quality and report any deviations from quality standards to supervisors.
• Sanitation: Maintain a clean and hygienic work area by following food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and equipment as necessary, following safety guidelines.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth production process.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines. As well as ability to read product specifications based on customer demands.
• Adaptability: Be willing to cross-train and perform various tasks as needed.
• Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of work experience in a food production or meat processing environment is an asset.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced & physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required.
• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
