ABOUT THE TEAM
Reporting to the Director, Public Markets Solutions, the Product Owner will contribute to the team mandate. Public Markets Solutions handles all the solutions for Public Markets Front-Office (Global Alpha, Beta Management), Public Markets Back-Office (Investment Operations), Public Markets Risk & Valuation and Investment Compliance. We are focused on value-creation via efficiently designing, planning and delivering the appropriate scalable digital business solutions within PSP’s operating model.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Product Owner you’ll:
Act as a Product Owner for multiple investment & analytical solutions such as: Research Management & deal flow systems, Portfolio construction & simulation solutions, Commission Management System, Investment Pools and market Dashboards, multiples datamarts, etc
Own and manage the backlog that includes defining backlog items, prioritize and assess business value with the clients
Be a key contributor to business cases, solution planning and delivery roadmap
Play a frontline role liaising between technological and business partners in terms of financial requirements translation into user stories and/or technical specifications
Take ownership of complex problem-analysis assignments, recommend efficient solutions and being an enabler of their implementations
Be a key contributor to solution design and ensure alignment with business goals and requirements
Facilitate and/or contribute to the SDLC for new enhancements from planning, design, development, testing and implementation
Play a key role in support maintenance, incident resolution, problem solving and continuous improvements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
At least Seven (7) years of business and systems analysis experience in financial investment applications & solutions
Experience in the financial investment industry is a crucial asset. Knowledge of Capital Markets investments and/or financial certifications (CFA, FRM, etc.) is a strong asset
Experience as Product Owner in the analytics/investment field within an agile environment is an asset
Proficient with SQL tools for data analysis and mining. Experience with Analytics suites solutions is an asset
Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
