We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their craft, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional results. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and smoothing them down to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
· Select and mix paints to match colors, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
· Apply paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, achieving smooth and even coats.
· Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter and overspray by covering them with drop cloths or masking tape.
· Repair any cracks, holes, or imperfections in surfaces before applying paint.
· Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
· Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Employment Requirements:
· Completion of secondary school
· Over three years of work experience in trade OR minimum 3-yearapprenticeship program
· Excellent knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
· Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and lifting
Your Skills:
· Familiarity with different types of paints and finishes
· Detail-oriented with a keen eye for color and design
