We are a close-knit family of four, consisting of myself, my husband, and our two young daughters, both under the age of four. We cherish spending quality time together and value a nurturing and supportive environment for our children. As our family grows, we are seeking a dedicated and caring nanny to join us in providing the best care for our daughters. Your role will be essential in helping us maintain a loving and safe atmosphere while supporting our children’s development and daily needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Engage children in educational and recreational activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Perform light housekeeping duties like laundry, washing dishes, and tidying up.
• Assist with the administration of prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
• Drive children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a nurturing environment.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of children’s living areas and belongings.
Work conditions:
• This is not a live in position.
• Work hours may fluctuate between 30 and 40 hours/week. You will be paid standard overtime rates for any additional hours worked.
Job Requirements:
• One-year post-secondary credential or higher.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Valid BC driver’s licence.
• Criminal record check will be required.
• Due to vulnerability of children’s health, vaccination questions regarding communicable diseases will be asked during the interview.
Compensation: You will earn a wage of $20/hour, which may be subject to incremental increases on an annual basis. You will be entitled to ten (10) vacation days and seven (7) paid sick days.
