Learning Design Consultant

Role Overview:
The Learning Design Consultant role is an exciting opportunity to bring together your passion for learning and technology to design new and enhance existing training products/solutions to support business needs. This includes leading the effective design, development, implementation and maintenance of eLearning, workshops, social learning and other materials for new and existing business initiatives to support Fidelity Canada’s needs.
What You Will Do:
You will provide technical support for the learning management system as required
Leveraging your knowledge of learning and design principles, you will create interactive and engaging instructional materials and performance support tools for classroom and web-enabled courses for synchronous and asynchronous education
You will work collaboratively with the learning & development team to provide consultation on design for projects
Your strong communication skills will be required to edit course materials, develop integrated content, and to facilitate training programs and meetings as required
What We’re Looking For:
Completion of a university degree, preferably in a learning, design, or communication related discipline, or equivalent working experience
Minimum 2 years of professional experience
Prior experience with a learning management system and/or eLearning authoring tools (i.e. Captivate, Lectora and/or Storyline) required
Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and methods of evaluation
Background in designing and developing learning solutions
The following would be considered an asset:
Experience with web development or an understanding of web technologies (i.e. HTML, Flash, Javascript)
Graphic design and course content development
