Chick-fil-A Eaton Centre seeks Kitchen Supervisor (NOC 62020) to be responsible for day-to-day task management of the restaurant. In this role, you are expected to engage with guests and team members and solve concerns and issues. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you are to ensure that both front of house and back of house are operating according to the proper procedures. You must be able to perform all duties assigned by the Operator. This position will include the following duties:
• Lead the Kitchen team each shift with a game plan and shift forecasts;
• Manage team member performance and staffing needs;
• Engage and resolve customer complaints;
• Managing day-to-day operational responsibilities;
• Managing day-to-day business activities, shift organization and scheduling and other restaurant needs;
• Regularly check communication updates;
• Proactively seeks out tasks that need to be accomplished by team members;
• Effectively train team members;
• Set and communicate goals / metrics to succeed (guest satisfaction scores, food waste, etc);
• Act as role model for the new hires and existing team members;
• Provide constructive and positive feedback to all team members;
• Must enthusiastically and passionately lead by example while helping to develop a strong team with a high standard of excellence;
• Maintain records of stock, food waste, etc.;
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization;
• Ensure quality control;
• Other duties as assigned by Operator and Restaurant Leadership to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications:
• Completion of a college certificate or diploma program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline (business, etc.);
• Minimum six (6) months of work experience in supervisory role in a food preparation establishment;
• Strong leadership skills and supervisory abilities;
• Demonstrate strong character and integrity beyond just the functional skill of a team member;
• Must have a growth mindset, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, & proactivity;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong people skills with a desire to serve team members;
• Strong commitment to superior customer service;
• Ability to manage team member behavioural and performance issues;
• Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility;
• Must be mature, patient, professional, and have a growth mindset at all times.
Permanent, Full time (35 hrs/wk) @ $20/hr – $23/hr. Schedule includes Monday to Saturday, as well as some holidays. Benefits include dental insurance, medical insurance, disability insurance.
