Job Description
Kung Pao Wok is currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen and support the kitchen staff in daily food preparation operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for:
• Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors
• Washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits
• Removing kitchen garbage and trash
• Receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Handling and storing cleaning products safely
• Sharpening kitchen knives
• Assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
Employment Requirements
• Languages: English or French
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: No experience required, training will be provided
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle physical work
• Reliability, punctuality, and team spirit
Work Conditions
• Work must be completed on site. There is no option to work remotely.
• Standing for long periods
• Physically demanding
