We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled IT Support Engineer to manage and support critical software applications and ensure smooth operations within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven problem-solving abilities, and experience working with software systems in a hands-on manufacturing or shop environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within an organization’s IT infrastructure.
•Review existing IT systems and internal processes.
•Develop, implement and apply policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems, and to ensure that all systems and processes meet organization standards and user requirements.
•Develop quality assurance procedures and tests for the development and improvement of new and existing systems.
•Identify, analyze and document discrepancies and ensure that appropriate adjustments are made.
•Manage, maintain, and provide support for the following software applications:
-Web-Cab Suite
-Zoho Suite
-Homag Woodstore & Woodprint
-Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel
•Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
•Assist with software upgrades, data integration, and ongoing maintenance.
•Leverage skills in JavaScript, MySQL, and Java for software customization and problem resolution.
•Assist in implementing and integrating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
•Develop and support workflows, forms, and mail merge processes to optimize internal communications and data management.
•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and peripheral issues, ensuring seamless IT operations across departments.
•Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement using technical and analytical skills.
•Provide training and support to staff to ensure effective use of IT systems.
•Proficiency in:
-JavaScript, MySQL, and Java
-Data manipulation and reporting (e.g., Excel and database management)
-Troubleshooting PC and peripheral hardware
•Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
•Effective time management and organizational skills.
•Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing/shop environment and work effectively on-site.
Employment Requirements:
•A bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline or completion of a college program in computer science is required.
•Experience with the listed software applications and skills is preferred.
•Proven experience with CRM and MES implementation and integration is preferred.
•Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with hands-on IT and software responsibilities.
