Ms. Ella Wright is looking for an experienced full-time Home Child Care Provider for her 7-year-old and 5-year old twins. Two of the children are Autistic and require extensive support with daily living tasks, emotional regulation and school transitions.
Job Duties:
Ms. Ella Wright is looking for an experienced full-time Home Child Care Provider to take care of her children at her residence.
• Supervise and care for the children in employer’s residence
• Bathe, dress, and feed the children, ensuring that the infants/child utilizes a proper grasp on eating utensils
• Prepare and change diapers for the children
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for the children, and follow guidelines regarding the children’s food preferences, and may perform other housekeeping duties
• Oversee the children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children on personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of the children and support the social development of the children
• Discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents, such as using speech appropriate to the comprehension and verbal expression levels of the children
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to work on the children’s fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and speaking skills
• Record daily activities and health information for the children, such as the day/time that any medication was administered and dose of medication
Requirements:
• Professional in-home childcare experience of 2 years or more required.
• Current First aid certification and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification required
Terms of Employment:
• Full-Time Permanent Position
• $19/hour for 32 -35 hours per week
