Home Child Care Provider Full Time

Job Duties: 
1.Supervise the child’s safety, and ensure the child’s well-being throughout the day.
2.Prepare and serve child’s meals according to preferences and dietary restrictions. Perform housekeeping tasks related to child care, such as cleaning up tables and dishes. Help children develop proper eating habits.
3.Assist with brushing teeth, washing hands, bathing, and getting dressed. Other tasks may include diaper changes and potty training. Develop child habits in terms of personal hygiene.
4.Take care of the child’s emotional well-being, develop adequate social skills, encourage communication, build empathy, and handle conflicts.  
5.Plan and conduct activities that support cognitive and motor development, including puzzles, learning games, reading stories, and arts and crafts.
6.Engage in physical activities such as outdoor play, running, or playing with toys to support physical health and motor skills.
7.Implement positive discipline strategies and help the child develop social skills and good behavior.
8.Clean up after activities, and keep the activity space tidy and safe.
9.Keep parents informed of the child’s daily activities, including nap period, meal period, and other daily routine. Provide updates on the child’s notable behaviors.
10.Report emergency incidents and unusual activities promptly, and follow medical and emergency protocols required for the child.

Qualifications:
1.Completion of secondary school education.
2.Experience in child care or housekeeping is highly preferred. Completion of a childcare-related training program is an asset.
3.Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques is required.
4.CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
5.Strong communication skills to interact with children and parents.
6.We expect you to be patient and reliable, possess genuine care for children’s well-being, and have the ability to provide emotional support and encouragement.
7.We expect you to possess a friendly and optimistic attitude that creates a welcoming and supportive environment.
8.This position also requires certain level of physical stamina to engage in activities such as playing and lifting.
