Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work site environment:
Outdoors, Hot, Dusty, Extremely cold, Noisy.
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting:
Various locations, Willing to relocate, Relocation costs not covered by employer.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation
Operate heavy equipment
Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls
Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
Measure distance, volume, length and weight
Operate computer controlled equipment
Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Prepare accident reports
Secure special attachments to equipment
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
Perform minor repairs to equipment
Operate hydraulic pumping systems

Backhoe excavator, loader
Caterpillar (CAT) controls
John Deere controls
Bulldozer, large or small
Cable shovel, large or small
Trencher, large or small
Grader, Loader
Pulverizing, stabilizing machine
Compactor, Roller, Scraper
Operate forklift, Front end loader
Dump truck, Gravel or dump truck
Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, Bobcats

Equipment and machinery experience:
Lift truck

Area of work experience:
Backfilling, Demolition, Ditching,
Excavation, Land clearing, Material handling,
Rough grading, Snow removal, Stock piling,
Stripping, Trenching.

Type of industry experience:
Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction
Residential construction
