We are in search of a skilled and detail-oriented Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a Framing Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing wooden frameworks and structures based on blueprints and specifications. You will also work closely with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to timelines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret drawings and sketches to determine specifications and ensure compliance with regulations and safety codes.
· Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools.
· Measure, cut, drill, sand, or plane materials for snug fit.
· Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
· Build foundation and erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
· Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures.
· Set forms for walls, footings & suspended slabs.
· Place prefab wood, frame walls, joists & sheet floors.
· Operate and maintain the carpentry equipment and materials inventory as necessary.
· Prepare material estimates for the supervisors.
· Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of the day.
· Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
Employment requirements:
· Completion of secondary school.
· Completion of a three- to four-year experience and training or over four years of work experience in carpentry.
· Physical fitness, including ease of movement and the capacity to lift up, move, or manipulate objects up to 50 pounds.
· Able to engage in physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods of time.
· Able to work at heights–on scaffolding–and exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust.

· Compatible with exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade.
· The ability to management of material resources.
· Proficiency at quality control testing.
