Field Quality Assurance Specialist – Gas Fitter B Contract

KTI Utility Services is thrilled to announce a major project in the Kelowna & Lower Mainland areas and are seeking self-starting individuals to add to the QA team! If you consider yourself to be an independent worker, with a great attitude, that has supervisor experience, then this job is for you!
This position primarily will do field audits on installations but on occasion may need to lead a team of up to 12 technicians to reach the projects target goals. The Field QA will be responsible for reporting on ensuring quality of installations, tracking issues, and reporting errors resulting from poor installations.

What would your day look like as a Supervisor with KTI?
– Visiting sites to confirm that installations are completely up to standards with no errors in installation
– In the field supporting installers as needed and overseeing installations on occasion
– Manage quality issues and reporting to the superintendent & Project Manager
– Develop corrective measures to address quality issues around workmanship
– Manage a team of up to 12 technicians to assist in corrective measures on occasion
– Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
– Safety audits
– QA audits on installations
– Training new installers in the field and classroom

Who is our ideal candidate?
– Construction/Trades/Laborer experience: 2 years +
– Supervisory experience: 2 years +
– Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
– Mechanical aptitude
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Knowledge of regulator clearances, swing joints, relight procedures, etc pertaining to gas meter installations.

Mandatory Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (with a valid insurance)
– Mandatory clean criminal background check and drivers abstract
– Required : B ticket Gas Fitter
