Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms. What You Will Do
The Director, Client Integration creates the strategy and process for all new
client integration to FCC, to be executed by the Integration team. The role leads a team of conversion services, configuration, operations, and technical specialists who are dedicated to implementing new introducing brokers, portfolio managers, and other clients on to the FCC platform.
This role is fully accountable for the client through implementation stage and post implementation support. Oversees coordination of all internal stakeholders as well as external vendors involved in new client integrations. Defines the conversion methodologies to be utilized for each bulk data conversion and ensures organizational buy‐in.
Lead the Integration team responsible for the asset and data conversion of new clients into FCC as well as clients leaving FCC.
Guides the team through the methodology, set‐up, configuration, and platform implementation of the new client.
Encourages team to develop strong relationships with FCC departments and keeps open lines of communication.
Oversee the complete end to end process of an onboarding post sales from discovery, set‐up, configuration, business integration, asset and data conversion, reconciliation, and transition to day to day (as applicable to the particular onboarding). Each client integration/onboarding will be tailored appropriately depending on the nature of the client and their agreed upon platform set up at FCC.
Work closely with the product, technology and operations teams to ensure that conversion and platform set‐up strategies are correctly interpreted and understood. Keeps on top of any custom technical or development work that FCC has engaged contractually with the client.
Develop strong relationships with key partners across FCC to make recommendations and implement changes which will enhance the conversion process and prepare clients for a smooth transition experience.
Work with internal partners to recommend improvements to business and technical processes to better support clients as they are set up on FCC’s digital platform.
Assist the sales team as needed to support the sales process and closing of new clients, by providing information and recommendations to ensure expectation alignment between prospects and FCC as well as the most efficient/least distracting conversion for the prospect.
Ensure that the team is documenting and is keeping current integration/onboarding processes and keeping appropriate back‐ups in line with audit processes.
Create a performance culture which attracts and maintains high caliber staff and fosters their development to reach their potential.
Risk Management ‐ Adherence to risk management practices ensure that new business integration is not adding undue risk to Fidelity
What We Are Looking For:
7‐10 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, including a minimum of 5 years within the brokerage industry.
5+ years of experience at the management level
Completed College degree or equivalent work experience
Knowledge or relevant experience with Dataphile, OSSISM or other stock brokerage accounting systems is nice to have
Experience with Python and/or working with flat files/text database, SQLite and MySQL/Maria DB and ETL is nice to have
Prior role in a leading client conversions/onboarding and demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with other departments is an asset and nice to have

Strong influencing skills. Gains acceptance of ideas and suggestions from business partners.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Canadian regulatory environment, CIRO rules and regulations, OSC and other provinces and territories.
Ability to plan, monitor, control projects, ensuring efficient utilization
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
