The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Digital Graphic Designer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Creative Services & Art Director, the Digital Graphic Designer conveys complex, visual stories in high-quality, dynamic presentation formats and online landing pages. They will work closely with a diverse group of internal teams, including Marketing/Design Services, Production, Corporate Events, Digital, Content, and Advertising, as well as external Vendors to develop marketing communication while ensuring consistency and exceptional brand experience.
What You Will Do:
Enhance and elevate delivery of Fidelity’s value proposition, solutions, insights and capabilities stories to position us well among competitors.
Create high-quality marketing collateral in accordance with brand guidelines to ensure outstanding communication of complex data, across channels (presentations, event show flows, emails, web design, etc.).
Collaborate with digital and content teams to design online landing pages.
Develop and ensure quality control measures across all publishing and design.
Ensure AODA accessibility standards are met, as required.
Test current software and features to improve accuracy/efficiency of production; determine suitability of new hardware/software for present and future needs.
What We’re Looking For
Completed 2+ year postsecondary education, preferably with a focus on digital design, UX and UI design
Minimum 5 + years of demonstrated design experience within corporate and/or agency environment
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) to create graphs, charts, diagrams, tables, images, maps
Advanced proficiency with HTML/CSS, Javascript with an understanding of responsive design to create landing pages.
Experience in financial services, retail, or related industries, an asset
The Expertise You Bring
A keen eye for detail needed to produce high-quality work and an understanding of continuous improvement philosophies
Ability to translate investment-related graphics and data into visually appealing designs across a range of marketing materials, templates, and documents
Knowledge of best practices for page layout, typography, colour, navigation and information design across print and web
Experience with animation, i.e. motion and video graphics
Understanding of tagging and ad trafficking systems, codes, and processes
Ability to work proficiently within workflow system platform and project tracking tools to meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment
Self-starter and fast learner with the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and open to creative direction and design feedback
Experience working in Seismic platform, an asset
