WHAT’S THE JOB?
NOTE: Shift work rotation at remote, safety sensitive location. Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test before they can be employed.
Understand all safety procedures of work place.
Carry out work on new manufactured and renovated buildings.
Load and unload materials, and move materials to work areas.
Perform rough in and finishing electrical work with lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire.
Splice, join and connect wires.
Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
Install, replace and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces.
Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits.
Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
Maintain site equipment to the highest possible condition.
Liaise with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner to keep up to all maintenance issues and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsible for “curb appeal” of our facility including highway signage.
Cleanliness and housekeeping of all areas inside and outside the facilities.
Ensure all site equipment is in good repair.
Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems on site.
Complying with all of company safety policies & procedures
Wears required Personal Protective Equipment at all times during work hours.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Valid drivers License.
Work requires an education background normally equivalent to high school and a Journeyman Certificate in Electrical.
Work requires practical knowledge of the application of electrical techniques and methods normally acquired through 5 years of electrical experience.
Knowledge of applicable industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade.
Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.
Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
Able to work individually and as a team member.
Able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers.
