Dishwasher Part Time

WHAT’S THE JOB?

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Pot Washer to join our team in Westmount, Canada. As a crucial member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our busy kitchen environment.

• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using proper techniques and cleaning agents
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring it functions properly and efficiently
• Sort and organize clean kitchenware, returning items to their designated storage areas
• Assist in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Report any damaged equipment or potential safety hazards to the kitchen manager
• Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed, such as washing and peeling vegetables

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
• Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment efficiently
• Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots and equipment
• Attention to detail in ensuring thorough cleaning and organization of kitchen items
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food handler’s certification preferred
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
