We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented cook to craft exceptional meals, oversee food preparation processes, and ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen, enhancing the strength of our team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare & cook complete meals or individual dishes for regular and modified diets as instructed
by the chef
• Coordinates food preparation and meal services; and instructs lower grade employees
• Keep detailed and accurate records of inventory, food wastage, supplies, and equipment to
support management in the proper and efficient ordering of materials
• Ensures quality, quantity and presentation of all food prepared, meeting the Coast Hotels
standards for freshness, appearance and consistency
• Committed to working safely, including adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene and
cleanliness
• Carries out other duties as assigned by the Culinary leadership team
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required
• 1-2 years cooking experience or completion of college or other programs in cooking
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
