Concrete Former Helper Full Time

Edwards Concrete & Son Inc. is looking to fill the position of Concrete Former Helper.
Our office and shop is located at 362062 17 St. E. Foothills, AB and the work to be performed is in various locations across Calgary, AB and area.

Job type: permanent, full-time
Hours: day, morning, overtime

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work site environment: outdoors, noisy, dusty, cold, hot
Work setting: various construction sites across Calgary and area including residential, commercial and industrial

Tasks:
– Load, unload and transport construction materials
– Perform pre-operational inspection
– Read blueprints to determine work requirements
– Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
– Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
– Level earth to fine grade specifications
– Clean and pile salvaged materials
– Perform routine maintenance work
– Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
– Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
