Job Duties and Responsibilities:-
1)Co-ordinate special events
2)Determine the size of food portions and costs
3)Plan menus & estimate food requirements for their realization
4)Requisition food and kitchen supplies
5)Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
6)Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies and intolerances
7)Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietician or chef
8)Inspect kitchens and food service areas
9)Train staff in preparation ,cooking and handling of food
10)Order supplies and equipment
11)Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
12)Maintain inventory and records of food ,supplies and equipment
13)Clean kitchen and work areas
14)Recruit and hire staff
15)Organize buffets and banquets
16)Manage kitchen operations
17)Prepare traditional “Kerala Sadhya” and “Porotta”
