We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide high-quality care for an elderly individual residing at Markham. The ideal candidate will have experience in elder care and possess a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Administer prescribed medications as directed and monitor for any side effects.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety of the elderly individual.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in activities and conversations that foster a positive and stimulating environment.
Observe and report changes in physical or mental health to the family and healthcare professionals as needed.
Provide transportation to medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as required.
Maintains the household with sanitization.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in caregiving or a similar role is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Home Health Aide (HHA) are an asset.
Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assist with physical tasks and handle the physical demands of caregiving.
Must pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record if driving is required.
Provide professional references validating caregiving experience and work ethic.
