Job description:
• Safely clean up chemical spills and hazardous materials, including asbestos. Remove asbestos and hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist in demolishing buildings, utilizing prying bars and other tools.
• Sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials for proper disposal or recycling.
• Properly package and label removed asbestos and hazardous materials for safe transport and disposal. Coordinate with supervisors regarding the disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with local regulations.
• Operate specialized equipment used in asbestos removal and demolition activities.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Work closely with construction teams and other tradespersons to ensure effective coordination.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of prior experience in asbestos removal or demolition work is preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools safely.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Class 5 Saskatchewan driver’s license.
