ABOUT YOUR ROLE
We’re seeking an Advisor, Operational Excellence to join our Operational Support and Shared Services team. As a member of the team, you will partner with our Finance teams with a strong focus on the Procurement life cycle process, their key stakeholders and other colleagues to address needs to enhance efficiency & scalability and the overall employee and customer experiences. As an Advisor, Operational Excellence, you’ll:
Collaborate with process owners to clearly define business needs and expected benefits
Receive, organize and prioritize requests based on the process owners’ objectives
Work closely with various project teams to deliver practical solutions, monitor results against expected benefits, and apply learnings for continuous improvement
Ensure alignment between process improvement opportunities and Finance’s strategic objectives and performance targets
Document processes, seek best practices, and identify performance benchmarks to uncover new opportunities for improvement
Facilitate workshops to drive engagement and knowledge sharing
Participate in change management by leading supporting communication, training, and coaching activities
Ensure adherence to new systems and tools and monitor statistics control points
Structure the new employee onboarding program for our various systems
Serve as a point of contact for IT improvements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain operations management, industrial engineering or Operations management
Business technology management would be an asset
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, system implementation or similar functions
Project management experience would be an asset
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification would be asset
Experience in workshop facilitation would be a strong asset
Project Management Institute (PMI) or CPA certification, an asset
Ability to navigate a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy
Comfortable operating effectively in a role with evolving responsibilities
Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond the surface to drive fact-based decisions
Pursue excellence, challenge the status quo and seek out alternative perspectives
Eagerness to learn, suggest ideas and innovate
Open-mindedness and active listening skills
Effective communications skills, both written and spoken
Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and customers
A respect for differences of opinion and an inclusive mindset
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
